In the latest installment of “Entangled Strands: Bioengineering the Future,” former Grizzly editor Sidharth R. ’22 speaks with Dr. Maksim Mamonkin (Ph.D), who is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Mamonkin is currently focused on studying the immunobiology of CAR T-cells for the treatment of T cell lymphomas and leukemias. Dr. Mamonkin’s team has developed fratricide-resistant CAR T-cells for T cell malignancies, and he’s currently translating his findings to the clinic via several ongoing Phase I clinical trials.
