As we finish the 2024 Major League Baseball season, sports fans are witnessing one of the most exciting and thrilling playoff races in recent years. With breakout players showing off their skills and star players having incredible performances, this year’s MLB postseason will be one to remember.

THE WILDCARD ROUNDS:

The Detroit Tigers  vs.  The Houston Astros

The Tigers had a clean sweep on the Astros for a 2-0 win in the series. They also had great defensive play as they only let up 12 hits the entire series.

The New York Mets vs. The Milwaukee Brewers

This matchup was very offensive oriented with 26 runs scored. The Mets had a great first game and won due to Fransisco Lindour’s grand slam in game three.

The American League Division Series Round:

The New York Mets vs. The Philadelphia Phillies 

The Mets started the series off with a 6-2 win in game one of the series. The Phillies fought hard in game two and won by the slightest.  In games three and four, the Mets showed off their offensive powerhouse in two amazing games giving them the series for a 3-1 win.

The New York Yankees vs. The Kansas City Royals

Both teams have fought hard to claim this victory with three of the neck-and-neck games.  The Yankees have taken the lead 2-1 in the series with Giancarlo Stanton and Alex Verdugo showing their ability to hit the ball.

The Cleveland Guardians vs. The Detroit Tigers 

The Tigers have been underdogs throughout this postseason, yet are constantly stepping up to show their athletic prowess. Although the Guardians had a strong  7-0 win in the first matchup of their series the Tigers won both games 2 and 3. The Tigers are leading the series 2-1 and look to close the series out in game 3.

The Los Angeles Dodgers vs. The San Diego Padres

In the series’ first game, the Dodgers came out on top, winning by only 1 point. The Padres played fiercely in games 2 and 3 without disappointment. The Dodgers managed to tie the series up at 2-2 with the tiebreaker having fans in pure suspense.
