It’s clear that Gallici doesn’t miss.
Ann Demeulemeester’s Spring 2026 Collection: Bedtime Stories, led by none other than Stefano Gallici, teeters on the edge of reality, contrasting traditional silhouettes and fabrics with modern proportions and patterns.
Debuting for Ann Demeulemeester’s Spring 2024 Collection, Gallici has been pushing the brand with a modern flair that appeals to younger generations while still maintaining the brand’s original charm.
The collection is quick to introduce the striking pop of Easter pink with an almost reptilian-esque floral pattern that adorns oversized blazers and wide-leg trousers, immediately setting this whole collection apart from the rest of Gallici’s work.
The outfits are effortlessly romantic, with traditional fabrics used, such as silk, linen, and lace, with many pieces being partially transparent, creating a three-dimensional, fuller look to the slim models and the outfits. Gallici does a fantastic job transforming the female models into posh punk rockers, with many adorning beautiful silk tops and high-top boxing boots, along with the occasional leather jacket.
The headwear truly ties the whole collection together. Consisting mostly of wreaths in black and white colors, the stark juxtaposition lies in the aggressive, sharp structure of the wreaths constructed with seemingly soft, delicate fabrics.
One standout from the collection was a monochrome basketball jersey with matching shorts, topped off with high-top sneakers. Although clearly separated from the other looks in the collection, Gallici ties it together with creative headwear, including elf-like feathers poking out of the models’ heads, as well as signature Ann Demeulemeester strings trailing down the sides.
Several jackets had references to French Revolution jackets, with many being adorned with the signature metal buttons on both lapels, with exaggerated frogging details as well. These historical jackets gave the collection a rebellious undertone, with traditional military uniforms clashing with exaggerated, almost punk details.
